Voda obogaćena vodikom uzrokovala štetu: porastao je marker oksidativnog oštećenja

Voda obogaćena vodikom prodaje se kao jednostavan antioksidativni trik, ali randomizirano, slijepo ispitivanje kod osoba s kroničnom bolesti planine otkrilo je suprotno. Nakon 8 tjedna uz 990 mL dnevno, MDA – marker oksidativnog oštećenja – porasla je za +2,11 u grupi koja je pila vodikovu vodu nasuprot placebu (p < 0,001). Ukupni antioksidativni kapacitet također je porastao, a porast MDA bio je izraženiji kod osoba s BMI ≥ 24. Nepovoljni događaji bili su češći kod vodikove vode (50 % vs 37 %), najčešće vrtoglavica. Istraživanje je bilo malo i specifično za pacijente na visini, pa evo što to znači – i ne znači – za zaljubljenike u vodikovu vodu.
